On Sunday 22nd Feb 2026 Reading, Oxford and Wiltshire branch members enjoyed a fun afternoon of skittles at the Burghfield Sports and Social Club
A mix of approximately 30 Reading, Oxford & Wiltshire Honda Owner Club members hotly contesting the 2026 inter-branch skittles match.
With each branch fielding a crack team of 6 bowlers and a 4th inter branch team, the scene was set for an afternoon of intense rivalry & friendly but fierce competition between the 24 bowlers…
Individuals sent their 3 balls towards the 9 skittles 3 times each and the 18 scores were then totted up.
The results:
Bringing up the rear, with a total of 101 points was Oxford, in 3rd place was the ‘inters’ a mixed team of all branches with 107 points. In 2nd place was Reading with 114.
However, with top scores of 9 by Claire J & Andrew Y, the worthy victors by a huge margin (of 3 points!) scoring 117, was once AGAIN! ‘winning Wilts’!
Expended energies were then suitably replenished with pre-ordered pizzas, burgers and chips etc.
With 2 Wilts riders (Dave J & Rob G) setting the tone on 2 wheels most members then set off for home.
However, a few hardy individuals continued playing and honing their skills for next year’s rematch… (Good luck)!
