HOWL Branch AGM
Thursday 27th November – A busy Club Night/Branch AGM at The Magpie on Thursday when we welcomed new member Jo Shephard for the first time along with HOC Chair Marcus Moulson. We unveiled our new Branch Display equipment – backdrop and Roller banner. Minutes will be emailed out in the next week.
The main points – Jude Browne, who stepped down from committee last year, was appointed Branch President – a new role and well-deserved recognition of her efforts over the last 45 years! (see pic from the 80s at Laxey IOM)
Petar blew out the candles on a selection of pre-Birthday cakes.
Karen and Simon were awarded ‘Bloody Sore Arse T Shirts’ for their huge efforts in winning the HOC Saddle Sore competition organised by Charles
We also set about making plans for our raffle prizes for the Branch Xmas Meal. This year they will comprise mini hampers made up of members donations – Karen, Jo and Jude are coordinating this – we’ve had a very generous and enthusiastic response so far.
And it was noted, our next and final Club Night of the year will be on TUESDAY 9th December
