Oxford Branch Welcome Everyone with open Arms (and LOTS OF CAKE)

On a chilly but sunny Saturday morning willing volunteers Marcus, Mary, Mark, Tracy, Sue and Jim set up a small gazebo, ‘Honda’ flags, tea and coffee with a delicious selection of cakes in the car park of The Jolly Boatman pub.

Having previously promoted the Oxford HOC open morning to the membership mailing list and also on the Facebook page, a message was also sent to the local radio to promote that we were open to meet and greet bikers who were keen to find out what the HOC was all about.

Members of the Branch arrived to provide ‘chatting’ support and copious cups of coffee and tea were drunk whilst waiting for the new folk to come along.

During the morning it was great to meet and greet John, Harry, Rob, Paul and Joanne who came along to find out more about us.

At 1pm the team packed everything up and Mark led a bimble round the Cotswolds, ending at Marcus and Mary’s for quiche, coffee, tea and more cake.

It was agreed by members new and old that it was an excellent day!
