The forecast was not good and it rained all night the night before but the show went on !Thanks to all our efficient and dedicated volunteers we got everything up and running before the first people drifted in about 9.30am
After that it was all a blur—Sammy Miller and Allen Millyard entertained the crowds with talks about their bikes and workshop tours went on and better than that they did circuits of the carpark on their RC181 and RC374.
A big thank you to Tom from Honda UK and Jack who chatted to everyone and showed off the current CRF1100L, current CBR1000RR and a 1992 CBR900RR and thank you to Honda UK for their amazing support. Also to Barbara and Graham who booked in the concours entrants and sold membership and regalia all day and our willing team of helpers who will be named in a full report later.
There were plenty of bikes to look at and lots of people to chat to and a friendly cafe and superb museum to visit.
We had to amend the timetable a bit as bad weather was expected at about 2pm so judging was hastily done and certificates awarded. Honda UK presented Graham Seymour with a framed certificate for the Club to mark our 60th Anniversary and they had also kindly provided 2 amazing prizes for best in show member and non member. (£150 worth of BSB clothing)
All in all a really great team effort from club members and a great community feel to the event. We all had FUN ! Approx 210 bikes and 400 people passed through the event ! (Numbers from Sammy Miller Museum staff)
Thank you to all who supported the event.
