3 likely lads finally met up at Cross Lanes organic cafe on A66 to start our adventure. Due to bad weather over Alston, we had to divert via Penrith to get up to Scottish Borders. Some lovely biking roads B6357 to unclass lane to Hermitage castle brief respite. Then on through some stunning scenery to the mountains of Dumfries & Galloway, then over B709. A nice twisty route stopping off at Kagyu Sayme Ling Tibetan centre where our chief Buddha, Mick was right at home. We then overnighted in Callender at the South Fork Guest House.Well recommended. They have off street parking and a lovely host. Some good folk music.Day 2 nice ride out on Sir Walter Scott steam ship on Lake Katrine before lovely bumpy ride out to Stronachlachar cafe for lunch & over to Inversnaid on the east side of Loch Lomond. Returning via lovely lakeside roads onto Oban. Day 3 run out to Easdale over Atlantic Bridge, onto Crinan Canal, then a nice ride back through hills to Kilchurn & Oban.
