I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share an update on the Honda Owners Club Scotland branch.
👤 About Us
I’m Amanda, your new Branch Secretary for Scotland.
I’m a relatively new rider, having started riding my own bike in late 2024—and I haven’t stopped since 😉. My husband David and I regularly ride across the Central Belt and further afield whenever we can. We’ve also joined a number of ride-outs and tours with other branches and groups.
David rides a Goldwing and has been riding for many years, while I ride a Rebel CMX1100T. We both ride DCT—which always sparks a bit of debate!
What we both enjoy most is getting out on the bikes, meeting other riders, and exploring the incredible routes Scotland has to offer.
🏍️ The Scotland Branch – Where We Are Now
You may have noticed recently that there has been limited activity in Scotland, including no branch contact or events listed in the Golden Wing magazine. That’s something we’re now looking to change.
I’ve taken on the role of Branch Secretary, with David supporting me, and our aim is simple: to bring the Scotland branch back to life and make it something members genuinely enjoy being part of.
🔧 What We’re Looking to Build
We’d like to:
Reintroduce regular ride-outs and social meets
Create opportunities for members to connect across Scotland
Make the branch inclusive for both experienced riders and those just starting out
Ensure membership feels worthwhile and engaging
While we’ll likely start with some Central Belt meets (for accessibility), the intention is to grow activity across Scotland over time.
📣 Staying Connected
Some of you may already be part of the HOC Scotland Facebook group, where I recently posted a short poll on potential meet-ups and ride-outs.
If you’re not currently on Facebook, don’t worry—we’ll make sure communication is not dependent on it. My intention is to use a mix of email and a simple group platform (such as WhatsApp) to keep everyone informed and involved.

Getting Involved
I’d really appreciate it if you could reply to let me know:
Whether you’d like to be included in a WhatsApp group for branch updates and ride-outs
If you’d be interested in a regular monthly meet (initially Central Belt-based)
We’ll also be sending out a short poll shortly to help shape this.
Upcoming Meet & Ride-Out
I’m currently looking to organise a meet in early May in the Central Belt—details to follow shortly once venue and timing are confirmed.
We also have a ride-out to the Kelpies Sunday 26th April 2026
This will be a relaxed, 125-friendly run with time before and after to meet both current and potential new members.
If you’re able to join us, it would be great to meet you in person.
🤝 Looking Ahead
As the branch grows, we’ll also be looking for members who may want to get involved in helping run events and support the club.
This is very much about building something together for Scotland, and I’d really value your support.
