Richard stepped up for what turned out to be a lovely day by proposing a ride to the Vineyard Cafe on Mersea Island. It’s a lovely place where we sat in the sun and admired the vines growing around us. We could see the sea beyond a few fields. The food is very good also. Richard used a fine route, starting from McDonalds near Harlow and after lunch the good roads continued with Richard taking us to his new house near Malden for afternoon treats. Everything was near perfect, good roads, good company, a good ambience and not too long a ride on a warm day. A nice number of us too, seven bikes taking part. Thank you Richard.
