North London test the tarmac

On 10th November, Steve led a ride out, and considering it was the onset of winter, he was pleased that there were ten of them.

He headed off to Bradwell Marina using country roads, passing through Stondon Massey, Ingatestone, Stock, Rettendon, and across to Burnham. Steve had hoped to stop for a moment of respectful silence but did not come across a suitable gathering at that time, having gone through Stock a bit too early.

After a temporary detour, we arrived at the Marina, but the proposed food stop was unusually closed, so we went to the café at Asda in Heybridge. The food was lovely, just like last week! Next, Dave Plumb led us on a good route to a final stop at Finchingfield.

Steve didn’t know where they were most of the time, but they went through Witham and Gosfield. It was a very enjoyable day with a good pace and dry roads until the damp set in as it got dark.

They were all so excited that no one took a picture!
