On 3rd November Richard kindly stepped forward to lead a ride and six of us, of a fairly even pace, we met up at the usual McDonald’s.
A lovely route took us to Ongar, Leaden Roding, Chelmsford and Maldon where we had brunch at a nice cafe at Heybridge basin close by an Asda store. We then went to our usual Finchingfield afternoon stop via Tiptree, Coggeshall, Earls Colne, Halstead and Sible Hedingham.
It was a very pleasant but shortish ride at a very nice flowing pace with us all staying together. Brisk but sensible. Nicely dry too. Good to have Steve J back with us after recovery from an injury.
