North London Broaden Their Horizons

Yes we did, we went to the Norfolk Broads! April 26-28th was a great long weekend for the Branch which was well arranged by John Cachia and involved fourteen of us.

We stayed in the pleasant Premier Inn at Norwich East and enjoyed a meal deal that included full breakfast, a two course evening meal and a drink.

John led us up there and the route took in Bury St Eddies, a stop for lunch at the Hungry Stag and a tea stop at Thorpeness.

On the Saturday Mick O’ popped over, his farmhouse being nearby, then led the day’s route that took in Cromer and Hunstanton.

We had our only problem that day as one of the bikes would not start from Hunstanton but eventually it got going with the cause being a faulty connection somewhere.

The weather had not been very warm and a bit damp and it got worse for the Sunday ride home! Despite this most of us completed the full plan and stopped for lunch near Cambridge and then went fairly directly home.

I must mentioned that Robin ably assisted with some leading on the first day.

A lovely time was had and we are looking forward to Welshpool next..

Regards
