What an action-packed time we all had at the Moto Union Show. Our HOWL set-up team were there bright and early with our new gazebo, HOWL banner along with new mats for the bikes courtesy of Steve. Gary provided some spotlights which were cleverly placed to really bring out the best of the bikes on display. Additional mood lighting was supplied by Dan. This complemented our HOWL backdrop which we commissioned a few years ago. (Ron our editor is always so helpful with designing and producing artwork for these things!)

We had a busy day talking to old members (who remembers Tim Angus and Steve Bond?) and people who know us from our other shows and prospective members. Straight away we signed up one 3 year membership and one annual membership, although we had the QR code linking to the membership web page, both new members preferred the old-fashioned way!

Many laughs were had with everyone pitching in to man the stand and chat to people on an informal basis, so others could enjoy the quality food and complimentary MOTO Union Cup Cakes.

Outside interests included two stunt shows, the Rockets Children’s Motorcycle Display Team and an off road riding experience provided by Desert Rose on their Zero electric dirt bikes.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly HOWL winning the BEST STAND AWARD! It shows our innovation and hard work was noticed. I think the last time the club won best stand award was many moons ago at the BMF rally but I could be mistaken. (I’m sure someone will correct me!)

Many thanks to all those involved – I won’t name names as you are in the photos! These things couldn’t happen without you and you are much appreciated. It is and always has been discussed and acted upon by the group as a whole.
