North London Bend it to Burnham

Sunday 5th October

Good ole Richard elected to lead this ride which took a very nice route through to Burnham on Crouch, incorporating the reknown Burnham Bends. Lovely weather and road conditions made it very pleasant and good food was enjoyed sitting outside the Cabin Dairy. After lunch we were reduced from nine to eight riders and Richard took us round the Peninsular, through Chelmsford and to the cafe at Hatfield Heath via the nice 1060. There was one detour due to roadworks though. The Cafe has new owners and we can report that it is still very good and remains on our list of go to cafes. It’s now called The Village Brew. After there we went home and I had done 101 miles. Quite low for us on a Sunday run. Nice though.
