Sunday 5th January 2020.
Today I arranged a ride out to Hastings and invited along the North London and Kent Branches.
Essex met up with North London at Thurrock Services. There were 6 North London members and 4 Essex members. We set off at 9:45am to cross the Dartford Crossing to meet up with some of the Kent Branch at a garage in Dartford. Here were 2 Kent members, Mike and Jill.
Mike then lead us down the back roads to Maidstone Services were we met up with 7 other Kent members.
After a coffee we had a group photo before setting off for Hastings. There were 19 of us now.
Mike O, Kent, led us from Maidstone Services to Hastings.
We followed some lovely country roads to Hasting. Well done Mike.
We parked up in the main car park along the front and walked back to Masters fish restaurant. Here we had a lovely lunch and a good old natter.
Time came for us to head back to our bikes. Here we said our goodbyes to each other.
We took the direct route home along the A21 so to get back home as it started to get dark.
The weather today was pretty good for the time of year. We had a small amount of drizzle whilst riding, but it rained heavier whilst we were eating our lunch.
Another great Joint/Tri Branch ride out, which we will do again in the not too distant future.
Thanks to everyone that attended today.
Until the next time, ride safe.
Roland Murphy.
Essex Branch Secretary.
