Sunday 15th December 2019. Ride out to St Neots.
Today Gabe and I met up at Rose’s Cafe in Chelmsford for a run out to St Neots for lunch.
On the way we stopped at the Silver Ball cafe on the A10 for a coffee. It’s normally very busy here today with Bikers, Cyclists and other people, but today it was mainly bikers.
The weather was dry and bright, a great day for riding. We stayed off the Main roads and remained on the country roads which had some nice bends on them.
After our coffee stop at the Silver Ball we continued to St Neots where we had lunch at the Ambience Cafe. Lovely food and great staff here.
It was here that I got an SOS call from my eldest son. He had a double blow out on his car in Stevenage. So our journey home was via the A1 to Stevenage. We meet up with my son and after being with him for a short while Gabe took off on his own for home whilst I stayed with my son until we got one of his tyres changed and put his spare tyre on the car.
I then had a brief ride home in the dark.
Today Gabe had visited two new places he hadn’t been to before. He enjoyed both locations and the roads we rode on.
All in all it was a great ride today. The best bit was it stayed dry and bright all day.
Until the next time, ride safe.
