East Midlands branch ride to the Triumph Factory finally went ahead as our first ride for 2026. Bad weather had meant that it was postponed from last year. We couldn’t ride to the Honda HQ in Japan and back in a day so Triumph had to do!! There’s a cafe and exhibition, good roads to get there, and it’s good to see a British Manufacturer being successful.
We took eight people on six bikes and went through places with names like Sheepy Magna so it was a good scenic route with little traffic and surprisingly few potholes. With everyone fed and watered on arrival we wandered through the collection of historic bikes, and displays on the design and manufacture of new bikes before going to the shop.
We headed back towards Derby on the main roads and headed home after a coffee stop at Factory Heads bike shop. It was good to be out again after what seemed to be a very wet Winter!!
