Durham and North East Ride Out 10th September

Sun was shining as 5 turned up at Greggs and set off to the jolly drover near consett to pick up Colin & 3 others.

We left and headed to Brockbushes farm shop and café for a coffee and breakfast where we also meet up with Ian. Now 10 people, 9 bikes, we set off on the a69 past Hexham, Haydon bridge turning off at Gisland and into the Scottish Borders stopping at Newcastleton for fuel.

Once fuelled we set of again to Sautree, turning of toward Deadwater and into Kielder forest before stopping for lunch at Tower Knowe café just as it started to rain.

After lunch we set of in the rain, heavy at times and with the odd flash of lightning towards Allendale via Bellingham, wark and Haydon bridge.

Another chance for coffee at forge café where we said goodbye to Ian before setting of back home via Stanhope.

The rain didn’t dampen our spirits at all and we had a fantastic day.

Hope everyone got home safe and thank you for supporting the ride out.
