Wilts ride out, Sun the 8th of March 2026.
So, 10 AM found 4 Wilts riders (and 1 pillion, Hazel) meeting at The Ram Pub in Tidworth then setting off on the 21 miles, 35 min ride to Chiseldon services.
After collecting Glynn E, the group set off for 20 miles, 30 mins or so through the damp and misty conditions along many narrow, twisty ‘green lanes’ (thanks Andrew Y for choosing today to test your new satnav in ‘twisties’ mode) lol! 
Arriving at CTL Motor Company in Cirencester, we met up with the Goldwing and trike gang of Graham ‘Grubs’ A, Chris B, Nick B and co.
Having increased the number of Honda motorbikes on Wilts’ ride out from none to some, calories were replenished and chatter was had.
Following this, Wilts’ original 4 riders and Glynn’ E set off on the 30 mils, 50 mins or so next leg of the ride out. With Glynn & Alan S peeling off on route for home (& missing out on further green laning) Dave J, Andrew Y and Rob G arrived at the final stop, The Rowdey Cow Farm Café in Devizes.
After ensuring that they were definitely not in a sugar deficit, led by Dave J, Wilts intrepid trio set off for 22 miles and 35 mins through Upavon and across Salisbury Plain for Tidworth’s Esso garage to fuel up and then disperse individually for respective homes.
Despite some testing riding conditions of reduced visibility and narrow and slippery lanes, an enjoyable, early season, day out was had – as per the photos.
