West London at the Solent Rally. On the weekend of 18/19th of June, Jude and I met up with many faces we had not seen for a long time after so many Covid postponements, at the Solent Rally.
Barbara and her team had set up their trusty marquee and BBQ at The Ship and Anchor Marina, near Arundel.
Lots of familiar faces, many with their furry four-legged friends, and a chance to chat with Trevor from Birmingham who was an earlier arrival after riding down on Thursday.
Also, good to have a chat with Lloyd from Solent whom we hadn’t seen since the last century!
John Flynn, day-tripped on his restored VFR and Dan came down arm in sling – attention-seeking? – no just very tough.
Bob West showed off his new Triumph Tiger 900 – that man runs on super Duracell batteries and Dave Thomas had his sparkling CB1100.
During the evening’s thunder and lightning show we sought refuge in the pub – enjoying a pie and several pints.
