Three Shires Ride out to Woodhall Spa – 25th Feb 2026.

Garry and I  set off for Gainsborough before riding on to Market Rasen, marking Garry’s inaugural ride as a Three Shires member. The plan went a little awry though as the road was found to be closed so a detour to Wragby and circuitously to the “Ragged Apron” café in Woodhall Spa for some wonderful food at very cheap – sorry, ‘Competitive’ prices, lovely little café / restaurant and very popular.

Lunch over and onwards to Horncastle, picked up the Caister High Road then down the hill to Nettleton, onto Morton, Blyth passed the raceway stopping at Gainsborough for Tea / Coffee at the Trent Port Gastro Pub (vehicles have to be registered for parking). From there back to sunny Maltby before Garry continuing onto Sheffield.

Approximately 170miles covered with the weather good in spite of a few ominous clouds but a very, very enjoyable day, sadly no photo’s this time too busy enjoying the ride.
