Today several members of The N.Ireland Branch of the Honda Motorcycle Owners Club GB were out on our first rideout.
Brian Ewart was tasked with planning a route for us and he didn’t let us down with great views, amazing scenery, rolling hills and good twisty roads.
Starting off in the Harbour Car Park Carrickfergus we headed to the outskirts of Larne taking the hill route.
From there it was the Glens of Antrim, taking in Glenarm and Glenarriff on the mountain route and down to Cushendall. A beautiful coastal section followed to Cushendun where we enjoyed a pitstop and a bite to eat at The Corner House, a very welcoming establishment with friendly staff and good food.
They will even replace a meal that somehow ends up on the floor (isn’t that right Brian Two Breakfasts?!) πππAt this point Kevin Que left us for home.
Hope you got home safely. The rest of us zigzagged our way along the twisty mountain road via Torr Head to a rainy Ballycastle, where we decided to deviate from the original route and basically head homeward.
This took in Armoy to the roundabout at A26 and Frosses Road where Brian Ewart departed for home.
Hope you got home safely too. Our journey continued on to Dunloy and Kilrea through heavy rain to Maghera where Greg O’Hagan provided much appreciated refreshments (cup of tea and biscuits).Β
Thanks Greg…we know you got home safely! Leaving there still in the rain Antony Fleming and Hayley Gray headed to Moneymore, Cookstown, Dungannon and Armagh, journey’s end.Β
Thanks to all for a great day out and of course the craic. Hears to the next one, hopefully very soon.
Cheers.
Antony
