On 4th December, a Wednesday, a late decision was made to go for a spin on the bikes with the evergreen Dave Plumb leading. Much to my pleasant surprise six of us turned out on a grey and cold day.
A lovely route took us to the Street Cafe in Newmarket for some nice lunch and we also had a late stop at Mayfield’s farm shop on the edge of Harlow.
A great route all round but we had to drive with care as the roads were generally damp and slippery. The red monster in the foreground made its first appearance with us, ably navigated by Dave.
It was nice to see Adrian with us who has missed out the last few rides and he does ride a Honda! There was one hiccup when we somehow lost Ben on the way to lunch. I’m not sure how it happened and he headed home early.
