On 13th April I was out on the bike and leading a ride after a recovery from a hip replacement about seven weeks before. It was lovely to be out and great that I was joined by eight other great guys. We went through Harlow, The Hadhams, Barley and Royston before cutting across to Sandy on the A1. (Not literally on it fortunately). There we tried the Amici Coffee House as recently featured in MCN. It was very busy, mainly with motorcycles, but a nice place and friendly. Some were not happy with the slow service and food not being hot, but it was very busy. Most of us enjoyed the food. Afterwards we headed back with a stop at Mill Lane Garden Centre near Baldock. We all like it there. It was nice to see Andrew join us after a while and he did some leading and bought our afternoon refreshments. We had good weather and dry roads. A good day.
