The enhancements over the old site are:
- Completely rebuilt with modern software
- New fresh look with photos everywhere
- Much simplified set of menus – removed redundant pages
- Larger and easier to read (better for the old folks amongst us)
- Works on tablets, phones and PCs.
- Google maps embedded of all starting points (http://manhoc.hoc.org.uk/test/rides.html) and our meeting point (http://manhoc.hoc.org.uk/test/meetings.html)
- There’s a form to suggest new events.
- Galleries of photos in there – very easy to add more (http://manhoc.hoc.org.uk/test/gallery.html). I’ve put in samples from 4 old rides.
- Users can now upload photos and text of rides – that goes to me for approval and I can then add them in.
- New privacy statement (GDPR means we need one)
- Other stuff under the hood to make it easier for me to maintain.
