RIDE OUT TO CAFE 1066 IN KENT.
Sunday 3rd March 2024.
We met up today at the Thurrock Servicesfor a 9.30am departure.
It was a dry day for the ride into Kent.
There were 6 of us on the ride today, Mike T, Johnny, Cliff, Marrissa, Ed and myself.
Tony popped down to see us off, he would have joined us but he had work commitments.
We set off over the Dartford Crossing and went via Darenth, Longfield, Meopham, Wrotham, Seven Mile Lane, Yalding, Horsmonden to Brenchley. Here we had our morning coffee stop at the Bull Cafe.
We sat out side whilst taking in the little nice village.
WE then set off for the Cafe 66 going via Horsmonden, Goudhurst, Glassenbury, Hawkhurst, Great Wigsell, Cripps Corner and the A21 to the cafe.
It was quite busy at the cafe, but we managed to get a table inside. Here we had two of the Kent members join us, Les and Keith.
We had a good old natter over lunch.
On our way back we went via The A21 to Lamberhurst and then retraced our route via Yalding back to the Dartford Crossing.
From here people made their own way home.
It was a great day out in the wilds of Kent and it was good to meet up with two of the Kent members.
