Essex Branch Ring of Red Ride

Two of our EHOC member took put in the Ring of Red ride on Sunday, Ashley and Carole.

Below is Ashley’s ride report.

Today, I took part in the Ring of Red, a charity ride to turn the entire 117 miles of the M25 Red for Remembrance Sunday.

I found out that one of our club members Carole Day was attending with some of her friends, who I met once I arrived.

We set off at 13:15 and headed off from the Thurrock meeting/start point, (there were staggered points around the M25 to allow everyone a starting point within a reasonable distance and also help stagger the flow of bikers along the way).

Heading clockwise over the Dartford Bridge, around the motorway.

The weather wasn’t too bad, although I think the rain put off a few people from attending.

We didn’t let this dampen our spirits too much (har har), as we had plenty of support along the way, waving us on from bridges and what not.

All in all a great day for a great cause. 👍🏻

If you would like to take part next year, please Google Ring of Red M25 and find the nearest meeting / start point for your area / club.

Well done girls.

Roland.
