Wilts visit Beaulieu’s first Bikers’ Day

Three members of the Wiltshire Branch braved the inclement July weather for a trip to the New Forest and the that the Beaulieu National Motor Museum’s first Bikers’ Day.

Despite the weather, the ride was trouble free and we were welcomed into a specially prepared area where hundreds of bikes were parked up.

Wooden pucks were offered by staff as we parked on a grass area, most welcome considering there had been some rain and there was more to come, so kudos to the organisers for this consideration on such a large scale!

For the £10 event fee (for anybody arriving by bike) we were able to access all of the Beaulieu attractions, and so we had a wander around the Motor Museum exhibits which included a number of interesting bikes.

The event was well run, there were plenty of facilities including ice-cream and burger vans alongside the main visitor restaurant and coffee shop.

A prize of £100 was given out for “Best in-Show”, as voted for by the attendees, along with two £50 runner-up prizes.

Riders: Sean, Don, Andrew.
