Wilts Sunday rideout “Wilts go to three cafes” 21/09/25

Had a perfect day on Sunday not only was the Sun shining all day but 3 cafes and a Belgum bun made it a perfect day,

Late on Saturday I contacted Mick Houston as his Intercom had been delivered to my house so needed to get it to him, I suggested a rideout would be in order and before long we agreed Sunday would work. I posted on the Facebook pages and both Whatsapp groups (HOC & GWRUK) to see what interest there was and before long we had plans made to meet Andy & Tia at Pinewood Bar & Cafe before heading to Chopper’s Cafe, Burbage to meet

Rob, Mick and Alan for brunch and to decide the route from there. Unfortunately, it seems we missed Nick Carey at Choppers

which was a shame but it does demonstrate that posting a hint on the Whatsapp group would have avoided disappointment as we would have known to look out for you, next time Nick gives us a thumbs up so we know, hope you had a great day despite

this glitch. Anyhow after a good natter and a Bacon roll we settled on riding to H-Cafe Berinsfield, Alan volunteered a route, and we set off. I have to say it was a great route, down to Malbrough then twisty roads to Albourne and back roads to A338 before cutting across to Streatley and then Wallingford and Benson

arriving at H for a welcomed cuppa and a bonus Belgum Bun just to play havoc with my sugar levels.

After plenty of chatter we took a look around Infinity next door, before saying our goodbyes as we would be splitting here with Mick, Rob and Alan heading back towards Wiltshire and myself, Andy and his granddaughter Tia heading back to home via Henley on Thames and Twyford.
