Saturday the 25th of July 26 saw Dave J, Jimmy Y, Rob G & Michelle R riding from Ludgershall to Calne, Wiltshire. Arriving 21 miles & 40 minutes later at the usual spot, the top of the town in the High Street next to the two red phone boxes.
It was then a case of meeting Andrew & Katy Y, who’d come by car & helping them set up the Honda gazebo, tables & chairs etc.
the arrival of the HOC Treasurer / Regalia rep Sarah R & the Membership Secretary Graham G put the recruitment of new members process into full swing.
So, Calne was the largest gathering of bikes in a single day across the whole of Europe (apparently). It was also a lovely day weather wise & there were more bikes than you could shake a stick at on display – including Alan W’s rare & gorgeous Rune on show at the Honda stand.
With 5 new members signed up for Wilts (& another 1 for Oxford) it was a very successful & enjoyable gathering of like minded folk.
