Dear Wilts HOC member – I hope you’re keeping well. This is just a brief email from me to support the forthcoming WHOC ‘event’ Go karting. Note, this event will follow on from the skittles event on 22 Feb 26. Both events are / will be posted on Facebook (FB).
Go karting. (Erica G, Oxford and Andrew Y, Wilts).
- What? The next interbranch event will be a competitive but fun few laps of the track kindly hosted by Oxford HOC.
- When? Sun 22 Mar 26. Arrive no later than 13.00 prompt for the safety brief.
- 1345-1400. 1st time on track for a 15 min practice/qualifier.
- 1430 – 1445. 2nd time on track for a 15 min grid formatted race.
- Where? TeamSport Go Karting, Cradock Rd, Reading, RG2 0EE.
- Admin. Spectators are welcome. There is no fee for watching.
- Cost. The price for karting is £55.96 per person. There must be a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 14 racers. If this number is exceeded, the party will be split into two groups.
- Payment. Andrew Young will require payment between 23 Feb to 2 Mar 26 in order that he can book the event. The method of payment details will follow in due course.
- Food. The site has a large choice of food available but limited catering facilities. Therefore, it will assist the staff if orders can be placed at staggered times.

- Helmets and gloves. If individuals wish to wear their own helmets, that’s fine. However, they must be ISO approved. Application of this standard is at site discretion. Free disposable gloves will be provided as will £3.99 reusable ones. Alternately, bring your own.
