3 likely lads finally met up at Cross Lanes organic cafe on the A66 to start our adventure. Due to bad weather over Alston we had to divert via Penrith to get up to the Scottish Borders. Some lovely biking roads including the B6357 to Hermitage castle for a brief respite. Then on through some stunning scenery around Dumfries & Galloway, then over B709 nice twisty route stopping off at Kagyu Sayme Ling Tibetan centre where our chief Buddha, Mick, was right at home. We then over nighted in Callender. Well recommended the South fork guest house they have off street parking and lovely hosts. Some good folk music.
Day 2, nice ride out on Sir Walter Scott steam ship on Lake Katrine before lovely bumpy ride out to Stronachlachar cafe lunch & over to Inversnaid on the east side of Loch Lomond. Returning via lovely lakeside roads onto Oban.
Day 3 of our adventure saw us go over the Atlantic bridge onto island of Seil, which is surrounded by the Atlantic ocean, nice trip down to old Crinan ferry point then round to Crinan canal tea room for a well earned break. Then a nice run south to Lochgilphead up to Inveraray
Final section of our highland fling saw us visit Inveraray WW1 Memorial & seat, Day 4 Where i parted company other 2 riders going onto NC 500 my last visit to Rob Roy Grave & Loch Ard Rhodendrons then home bound for me.
