On Sunday 24th April, the West London Branch were led by Steve Hill on a tour of his favourite stomping ground starting and ending with some cafes he’d been to once or twice before.
Martin, Brian, Mark, Bill, Charles and Tom joined Steve although Martin could only stay for the first breakfast as he had some Gold Wing matters to attend to.
Meanwhile Classic secretaries Tony Surridge and Steve Cribbin were on duty contributing to the Secretaries meeting in Leicester.
At the same time that morning, Jon and Jude played host to members current and old – Dave and Jenny from Lincs, Alison and Glen from Northants and Andy C from Bristol on a ‘morning after the night before’ breakfast, after Jude’s triumphant Charity Cancer fund raiser event.
This had been attended the previous evening by many very generous members of the branch together with their partners.
The Riverkites, (who played at last year’s National Rally) soon got most of the 120 people up and dancing and more than £3500 was raised for Cancer Research.
Well done all! Jon Stone
