On Sunday 27th February, 5 members of West London branch (Jude, Jon, Dan, Steve C and Tony) visited the Bristol classic motorcycle show.
It was a fantastic day, with lots of interesting machines to see, stands to visit, and people to meet!
Amongst the bikes there was a very rare Honda type D (1949) the first real motorcycle from Honda, previous Hondas were pushbikes with engines attached.
Allen Millyard was there with his RC374, SS100, and Kawasaki Super Six. We of course had to spend a few minutes catching up.
The RC374 was amongst a few machines that were run up outside – I think our ears will recover soon!
Also there was Phil Read, Tony had a short chat with him – another racer added to Tonys list, sadly no selfie taken.
We also met up with Kevin Graham, who is helping to resurrect the Gloucestershire branch.
It was however not all play, we are hoping to attend next years event in an official capacity, so we talked to the organisers and did a recce of the layout – we will need helpers, if you can help next year, please contact the classic secretaries at classic@hoc.org.uk
