Brian Ewart organised our rideout today for the Honda Owner’s Club N.Ireland Branch. Some of the guys met up at Newtownards at the Dunsilly Hotel at 9.30am then made their way to Cookstown for 10.30am to the next meeting up point at Tesco filling station.
We left the station and started to snake our way through the south Tyrone Sperrins region of the province taking in Pomeroy, Dungannon, Aughnacloy, Augher, Fintona, stopping at Carrickmore for a light snack and a cuppa before moving on again snaking through the countryside to Gortin up to the Glenelly Valley Sperrin Heritage Site to one set of the Giants of the Sperrins. We went up to the site, took pictures of the Giants etc and then back to the bikes and proceeded on our journey again to Draperstown and Cookstown where we chatted over the journey today and said our goodbyes.
Thanks to Brian for putting the run together especially when he didn’t know the area. Thanks to all those who turned up for run, 12 bikes out and 1 pillion. All in all a great day out even with the changeable conditions. It was good to see Philip Hudson out with us, a valued member thanks Philip. Bill McCord was the furtherest travelled today coming from Carrickfergus, dedication Bill thanks to you also. Again thanks to everyone who turned up today.
