By mid-day Friday the tents were gathering and the motorhomes well established.
Marquee and gazebos ready with tea/coffee and a selection of cakes provided. Lots of catching up and chatter ensued before a fish and chip supper was collected from the local village pub.
Once everyone was fed and watered, our Quiz Master for the evening presented some brain teasing questions before everyone retired to bed after a busy day.
Saturday dawned cloudy but warm and, after bacon butties, cereal and toast, everyone assembled for the Annual Charity Poker Run, this year in aid of the local Children’s Hospice.
Led by Mark there were many interesting roads to explore and a stop at On Yer Bike, Blade Abingdon Honda, the Kingsley Café for lunch and then The Old Shed for cake and coffee with a final stop at the Krazy Horse Bike dealer.
Once back at site, the BBQ started whilst the winners of the Poker Run were decided with Tim from Bournemouth winning the first prize of a very nice patio heater.
All in all £275 was raised for the Hospice and everyone agreed it had been a great day, with only a slight shower of rain.
The BBQ was accompanied by salad and condiments, followed by home made apple pie and trifle.
A sunny Sunday morning welcomed the campers as everyone began packing up and saying goodbyes as they left for home.
