Last night the 26th of June we met at our new venue in the grounded coffee area of the Maxo service station on the A26 Tannaghmore Ballymena Rd. In attendance were Brian Ewart, Bill McCord, Hayley Gray a new member Aaron McDonald and Myself, we discussed several things to do in the near future
1. Burger Run this Sunday which is meeting at the Downshire in Banbridge at 9.30 in aid of alzheimers and a Burger 🍔 will be available at the end of the run, We have decided to go as the Honda N.Ireland Branch to keep us together and to support this worthy cause. Let us know if you are going with us to support this, I know Bill McCord is a May – may not to be decided on the day.
2. The GO Classic Bike Festival at Bishopscourt racing circuit on 3rd & 4th of August, We have decided we are definitely going and putting a stand on site and would like you to bring your bike along to put on display, this can be both Classic and your normal bike, we have some people in the branch with Classic machines and it would be lovely to have them on display and very much appreciated. If wish to either Saturday or the Sunday that’s fine let us know which suits you or if would like to do the 2 days again let us know I personally will be staying on site. We will have a pop up tent up and the campervan there so plenty of tea lol.
3. A Scotland run was discussed for 3rd weekend in August leaving on the Friday morning and staying at the Arrocher Hotel in Scotland for 2 nights using this as our central hub to go out on a a couple of runs whilst there. Again we need to hear from members who would be interested in doing this to get their thoughts and an idea of the numbers looking to go A.S.A.P for bookings.
4. A new member Aaron McDonald has volunteered to put a run together for 28th of July, it is important that we support these runs as the organisers put a lot of effort in to put these together.
We chatted about a few other things mentioning the Christmas dinner and then closed the meeting and went our separate ways, hope everyone got home safely.
Cheers
Antony
