Northants branch holiday 2024 27/06- 04/07
8 Northants branch members, (Evelyn was actually from Bedford but she has been on a few rides we us so she’s one of us), went to Devon for our branch hols.
Mick, Adrian, Ron, and Evelyn travelled down on the Friday on their bikes with Geri, Kim and Rufus in Geri’s car and Tony and Carl on the Saturday on their bikes to our booked accommodation, a old vicarage house/Mansion in Tiverton, Devon.
The old vicarage was huge with 5 double rooms and 3 bathrooms, huge Kitchen dining and lounge rooms and huge landscaped gardens, brilliant well looked after and clean house made the holiday all the more better.
Weather throughout the week holiday was excellent with warm weather and sunshine and not as warm as rest of country usually 22°C, perfect for riding, with fab country roads over 3 counties of rideable roads(some only just), great coast roads , lots of cafés and friendly pubs and great scenery everywhere including towns, beaches and villages we all had a great holiday with most on bikes from start to, all too soon, end of holiday, with those in car on walks and siteseeing, here’s too the next one.
Thanks to Geri for cooking us all a excellent Sunday roast, for Carl and the brill spagboll, for all the ride planners and leaders and to everyone for making the holiday memorable.
Special thanks to Kim for planning the holiday and finding the best house I’ve been to for a branch hol.
Regards Tony&Kim Pegg, Northants branch Secretaries
