We haven’t been to Walkers at Barton Mills much recently and now that it is warm enough -just- to lunch outside, decided it would be nice to sample their wares and see all the other bikes there once more. Richard was kind enough to lead our group of eight on a nice route going via Thaxted, near Haverhill and Newmarket. After nice grub and social intercourse I took over the lead and we went to Finchingfield via Tuddenham, Clare and Great Yeldham. Some fine roads indeed and Chris treated us to tea and cake at the smaller cafe in the centre of Finchy. It was home from there. A lovely day and a shortish but pleasant distance.
