North London visit Lowestoft
On 19th May ten of us left Birchanger Services heading to Lowestoft for lunch at the very nice Lighthouse Diner near the seafront.
We had great weather and our route there took in Thaxted, Haverhill and Bury St Edmunds. These were nice roads but the remaining A143 and A146 I thought were a bit dull.
At lunch we met Mick’O and all generally had various sizes of breakfast.
Lovely! We then took in a stretch of the A12 South before heading inland on the very nice A1120 to Stowmarket. A lovely route and marked as a tourist route.
We then cut across country to Sudbury where we parked up in the centre for final refreshments. More great roads took us to Sible Hedingham and Finchingfield where we started to split up for home.
A long but good day in the saddle, getting us ready for our longer trips to come..
Regards
Steve
