Hello Everyone,
North London visit the coast
On 26th November, despite a cold day, six of us turned up to join Richard for one of our favourite rides, that being to the Cabin Dairy at Burnham for lunch.
It stayed dry for all but the very last bit of the ride and though the roads were damp they were free of icy patches.
The good roads there took us through Ongar, Leaden Roding, Chelmsford and then onto Burnham through the ‘Burnham Bends’. A nice lunch, courtesy of Yiannis, with some interesting chat warmed us up for the next bit of riding that took us to a fine tea stop at Heybridge Basin, near Malden.
This bit is a fabulous route with great bendy roads and very light traffic and it follows the coastal bulge round going through Southminster, Tillingham, Steeple, St Lawrence and Latchington. A marvellous ride.
Richard treated us to afternoonsies and I then led us home via a cut through to Danbury then through Chelmsford.
All the accomplished riders are in the picture but me, who didn’t want to spoil it… 😜
Regards
Steve
