John Cachia was good enough to step up for this Sunday’s Ride and a very nice team of six met up at Birchanger Services on the M11 for the Ride. It was nice to see Dave L and Mitch with us as we have not seen a lot of them lately. The roads and the pace of the route there and back was very good indeed and we went through Elsenham, Thaxted and Sudbury to get to the fine Hungry Stag Diner which is just East of Bury St Eddie. The food was great as usual but it was a bit slow as it was busy, but what was the rush anyway? Patience is a virtue apparently. So we had a nice chat together with our nourishment. (Chris gave his mushrooms a good talking to). We then took a great route back to Day’s Bakery at Newton which was unfortunately and unusually closed, so we gravitated home from there on nice roads paralleling the A10. A great day out.
