North London go to Hull and back..

Dave Plumb arranged a three day and two night trip for us staying at the pleasant Hull North Premier Inn. Nine did the whole trip and on the Friday we took direct roads to Peterborough, followed by Boston, Sutton on Sea and Grimsby. Crossing the Humber Bridge took us to our lodgings. On the Saturday we went up towards Thirsk and Northallerton before heading due west to Hawes. Here we had a pleasant lunch and were surrounded by good roads and great scenery. After lunch we visited Ribblehead Viaduct and returned via the Skipton area. Coming home on Sunday we again crossed the Humber Bridge and came via Horncastle, the A17 and 1101 for a last lunch stop at Walkers, Barton Mills. It was a very good weekend with nice weather, good food and accommodation and some good roads, though we did often hit traffic, roadworks, lots of speed cameras in parts too. Thank you Dave for organising. 😊
