Perky North London 11 in the Pink
On 21st April the day loomed dry, but a bit fresh and breezy when 10 bright eyed riders met at McDonalds for a nice ride courtesy of Steve Jones, our most venerable chairperson.
We did a nice but convoluted route through the edge of Harlow, Dobbs Weir, Hoddeston, Essendon, towards Hertford, before heading directly towards the nice Lilley Arms at Lilley near Luton.
Great food and chat there and we met Graham there, our spiritual leader. Some of us ‘turned to drink there’ and had some ‘medicinal compound’ while others just had some fizzy pop.
The full team of 11 then followed Steve sort of North on some good roads and we reached Gamblingay and Longstowe before heading south towards Royston and Baldock.
We cut across just before Baldock to Mill House Garden centre for a final stop before heading home. We had lost a few of the team due to getting mixed in with other riders, just one of those things.
John was on his new NC750 Honda which are becoming very popular and we saw Bill for the first time in a while on a Triumph 900.. Lovely day..
