North London First Eleven Enjoy

Sunday 10th August
It turned out to be lovely warm weather and I led ten others for a Ride to the Super Sausage cafe on the A5 near Towcester. We started a bit earlier than usual to avoid the crowds there, but it was still busy. We all had some nice grub and a chat. To get there I headed up to the A507 and the Baldock bends with the A507 taking us most of the way to the A5. After lunch we then used the fine A413 to get to Aylesbury, via Buckingham, before going to the Church Farm cafe at Aldbury via Aston Clinton and Tring. This was a new place for us and it was very nice. The Cafes in Tring itself are rather overpriced. Afterwards we zoomed home fairly independently on the A414 from Hemel Hempstead. It was a very nice day, particularly warm in the afternoon too. Next time we shall avoid going through Berkhamstead though it was a right pain…
