Dave Taylor kindly stepped up for today’s Ride and we left the Tescos car park at Hatfield for a lovely ride to the Riverside cafe at Abingdon, a new location for us and a pleasant one on an island on the river Thames. It did help that the weather was grand. We went via Hemel, Bovingdon, Chesham, Wendover and Watlington. Quite busy the roads were with a lot of speed restrictions and we lost our back marker, Alan, at a junction too narrow to Mark. But fortunately he got to lunch independently. The roads on the way home were nicer and we went through the Chilterns and Ivinghoe before stopping at Hilliers farm shop near Hemel. After that it was more or less independent riding homeward. A great day out.
