Mark’s Bank Holiday Mystery Run

The weather for Bank Holiday Monday was going to be hot, hot, hot! So it was demographically decided to start early in the morning, hoping it would be cooler – it was not that much cooler though!! Twelve bikes (I think) set off from Frilford petrol station to arrive at The Unhenged Café at Avebury, Wilts. We set off towards Wantage on the A338, and then onto the B4507 passed the White Horse Hill to Ashbury. Then it was a meander through some quaint little villages ending up in the open space of The Ridgeway heading down to Chilseldon. Onwards toWroughton then onto the main A4361 to Avebury. Going through the village, I decided to elongate the trip slightly and went down the avenue of standing stones, then right onto the A4 passed Silbury Hill. Even though we had warned the café that we were coming, they got a bit overwelmed! But it all ended fine, well feed and satisfied. We headed back towards home via the A4 towards Hungerford.
Thanks to all attended, I hope you enjoyed it.–
