Sunday 26th November 2023, Manhoc ride to medieval Th’Owd Tithe Barn, at Garstang (yes, a change of lunch plan from the advertised Guys Thatched Hamlet).
The days route was the same, but to the fascinating large Barn pub, with plenty of “antiquities”, overlooking the canal, which is just around the corner from Guys.
Departure was from Rising Bridge, in quite a cool 5 all day temperature, although starting from home it was only 3 degrees, but dry.
Heading to the A49 and cross-country on great roads to Longridge, then taking on a large loop around the beautiful Fylde, then onto Tithe Barn for lunch.
It was warm inside the fascinating barn, service was great and the food and chat excellent, especially from Andrew about his overseas adventures in his twenties.
That was to be the end of the day, for the gang was not for moving and returning cross country to Macs, at Clitheroe in the forecasted rain!!! So, it was final goodbyes and hugs in the carpark and homeward bound!!! Great day.
Cheers
MALCOLM.
