It is with great sadness that I have to annonce the passing of Jim Peel-Cross, Big Jim as he was affectionately called by all that knew him.
Big Jim was the founder of the Wilts branch back in 1993 and has been a huge part of it ever since.
His passing is a huge loss to the motorcycling community.
Big Jim was a member of many clubs and wore the hats for all of them well, he was a shining light to all that met him. Once you’d met him, you never forgot him!
It’s true, Big Jim didn’t worry if you were a multi millionaire or down to your last penny, to Jim you were of interest and worthy of his time. On many occasions he pulled a name out of his notebook and said ring this number and speak to such and such and they will help, and every time he was right.
Big Jim was known by many and all will agree, his passing is a very sad day.
Rest in peace Big Jim, the world has lost a true gentle giant and we have lost a dear friend.
His sister is going to let us know when his funeral is and is happy for us to have a parade in his name and a presence at his funeral.
I think you will all agree that JPC would feel honoured by this.
I’m hoping as many of us as possible, on Hondas, if you have a choice, will attend this big man’s funeral and honour the work he has put in to WHOC over the years.
RIP Big Jim, you have left a huge hole in many people’s hearts 😥
Please add your memories and stories of JPC and let’s celebrate the gentle giant we all loved.
