We met up at the Rose Cafe for a 9.30AM DEPARTURE, BREKKY WAS HERE AT 8.30AM.
Unfortunately I hadn’t bargained that the cafe would be closed on Easter Sunday. Check, check and check again in the future.
I had to shoot up to the McDonalds at Boreham, so I left Mick W to bring the group up at 9.30am to meet me there.
The group arrived at Boreham.
This meant we had 8 riders on the ride today. Mick W, Mike T, Gordon, Bronwen, Bryan, Dawn, Andy, and myself.
Jon turned up just to see us off.
The weather was a bit overcast, but on the main was going to stay dry with the odd shower.
We set off for our first stop at Finchingfield.
The roads were quite dry which always makes the ride enjoyable.
Finchingfield was quite busy
We had a coffee here and chewed the fat for a short while.
We then set off for Walkers Snacks.
We took mainly country roads, but had to hit the A11 for about 5 miles.
At Walkers Snack it was very busy. We even saw a number of bikers that we had seen at Finchingfield.
This was our lunch stop. The staff and food here is really good.
Our last stop of the day was at Costa Coffee in Sudbury.
Whilst riding there we had a light shower which didn’t last very long.0
We had a coffee and a chat inside Costa.
We said our goodbyes here.
On the way home people peeled off where necessary for home.
Another great day out in great company on good roads..
I did 195.4 miles door to door.
Until the next ride, stay safe.
