Yesterday we met up at Brentwood for a ride out for lunch at St Neots. The weather was great for a ride around the countryside. We set off at 9.30am and rode via Coxtie Green, Ongar, Leaden Roding, Hatfield Heath, Sawbridgeworth, Standon to the Silver Ball Cafe on the A10. Here we had our morning coffee stop.(We noticed as we approached Leaden Roding there was a photographer taking pictures of bikers as they go by. We shall see if we can get hold of the pictures he took and post them on here). The Silver Ball was busier today than I have ever seen it.We had our coffee and then set off for St Neots. We rode via Royston, Longstowe, and the Gransdens then into St Neots. We parked up at the Ambience Cafe and sat on the grass by the lake to have our picnic lunch. We had a good old natter and a laugh.Time came to set off back.We headed for Thaxted for our afternoon coffee going via reverse route to Royston, Barley, Audley End, Newport, Howlett end into Thaxted. We had our coffee stop in Parrishes. This is always a nice place to stop at.We then set off for our final journey home. Before we set off we said our goodbyes to each other. On the route home people peeled off where necessary.A great day out on good roads in great company.Until the next ride, ride safe.Today I completed 156.1 miles door to door.Roland Murphy.
