Durham and District Ride out 27th August

Start the Day with a Sausage and Bean Melt

What a fantastic day today.

7  turned up at Greggs for the 10am start, as we set off towards Bishop Auckland for fuel, we had Mark  join us.

After fuel we headed up the A68 towards Stanhope where we meet Ian , Peter and Katja.

11 of us left Stanhope and went on to Alston where we met up with Gary and said goodbye to Mark.

Whilst there, we caught up with a couple from the Darlington branch who popped in for fuel on their way to the Lakes. Now 11, we left Alston and went up Hartside Pass where we got caught in the rain.

We managed to lose our tail end charlie Paul so pushed on to Orton Scar café for lunch.

Somehow we all arrived within 10 mins of each other as we got split up on the way.

After lunch we set off towards Middleton in Teasdale via Kirby Stephen and Teasdale.

We stopped at Tee’s pot for tea and cake before saying our goodbyes and setting of back home.

Thank you to everyone that turned up.

Marc Griffiths.
